hello IHAQ,
Nice to see your ride.
here I would like to share my travel experience with all on this forum.
It was very good to see sights there at Naran. I have visited Lalazar and Lolosur lake.
On 13th I reached there by 7:30pm as i made several stops on the way to Naran... as my family was enjoying more to stop at beautiful spots.
Booking was already there, so got into PTDC Motel.
Next day we went to Lalazar and Lolosur lake and came back around 8pm.
Tracks for both Lalazar and Lolosur are very rough and dangerous. We hired two jeeps as we were almost 15 persons including children. Both jeeps charged us Rs.8,000/-
On 14th August night, it was full pack, a normal low standard hotel charged Rs.10,000 per night for a single room. so it was very hectic for those who came there without reservation.
Though I had booking there but space was not enough in room, so i used my tent which I had bought some time ago from Dubai..... me and my sone spent nights in tent, it was just in front of my cottage.
It was awesome experience. I really enjoyed a lot.
Road from Balakot to Mahandree were very poor and rough..... I tried best to drive carefully even then my XLI hitted by rough roads, it was due to extra load in car as it was full with family members plus around 60KG load in car trunk.
Food at PTDC motel was not good enough. Crockery was not very neat and clean, they have very few staff members to cater large number of persons. You can see pure beaurucratic style and poorly managed things as government offices usually do.
Time spent at hotel/cottage was awesome as our cottage was on the corner of river with beautiful scenary around.
on 15th we left hotel and started journey to Islamabad around 1pm, I reached at Abotabad around 6pm and had lunch there, i have some relatives there so thought to spend one night there as I was not feeling good to drive in night especially because of high beem by our illiterate drivers.
next day on Sunday I started for my home (Wah Cantt) and reached around 1pm.
There was no rain at all from 13th to 15th August.... but there were clouds. i heard that in 15th August night it was showering.
Today I am at office and missing scenary and cool weather of Naraan.
Take care.....
Muhammad Tauseef.
