Always octane rating superior to the recommended one by manufacturer is beneficial for the engine with more additives along with prevention of knocking.
Anything lower than recommendation is not good for the engine.
I think the HOBC sold in Pakistan has an octane rating above 91, perhaps 95.
Normal petrol has an Octane rating of 87. JDM's operate good at any thing above 90~91. Hence using only HOBC shall be always good for the engine provided it is not mixed with low quality fuel for cheating.
