145/80 R12 for ALTO SUZUKI RECOMMENDS

I have seen some posts blaming PAk Suzuki for installing low rated tyres on their vehicles. Almost everybody in PW recommends tyres 165 R 12 etc.
No doubt general tyres have no grip but my question is that if tyres 145/80 R12 are not good for ALTO then why Suzuki company recommends it. i have browsed suzuki websites of India, Japan etc., they all recommend 145/80 R12 tyres.
The booklet that comes with the car also recommends 145/80 R12 tyres?

Is it fine If one install DUNLOP / YOKOHAMA / PIRELLI 145/80 R12 instead of general. Will cause any improvement in road grip???

Suzuki wont recommend 165 on Alto cause then they wont be able to claim that magical fuel efficiency figure.Why would a manufacturer bother about bad handling on 145 tyres or why put extra manufacturing cost by adding broader tyres.The OE tyres in cheap cars are generally the cheapest with low rolling resistance,all to improve fuel economy.These cars dont even have a 1 litre engine,they wont be able to digest anything above 165 or 13' rims ideally.

go for 165 / R13 , imported tyres, you will get improved handling and comfort in cost of milage, may be reduced by 1km/ltr

I 2nd to @localracer as most of the accesoreis & body parts are equipped to vehicles on specific market requirements. I owns Fiat Uno 1.7D This car is sold in India wid tyre size 145/80-13, in Pakistan wid 155/70-13 & in Europe its equiped wid 165/65-13 from factory.

BTW i dont think that stock size can be found other then General if yes then choice of brand wud be limited however the good brand having 155/70 profile shud be a good performer in Alto for both Fuel consumption & Road grip.

i searched the market. Yokohama 155/70 R-12 tyres are not available. Y0KOHAMA starts from 165/12?

I used to have 155/70/R12 when I used to have the mehran. Dont remember which brand, Japanese thay though.
