BMW 7 Series Overview

The 5th Generation BMW 7-Series was introduced in 2008. The 5th Generation 7-Series featured an updated design language compared to the 4th Generation 7-Series. All the Engines in the range were upgraded with Twin Turbocharger to improve efficiency and emissions. The car received a mild facelift in 2012. The 2008 7-Series was available in 7 variants 730d, 740d, 740i, 750i, 750d, 760i.

The exterior of the 2008 7-Series features a traditional BMW design language. The front fascia features side swept parallelogram styled LED headlights with daytime running lights, the classic BMW kidney grille and a standard bumper with daytime running lights and a rectangular air intake. The sides of the car feature slightly flared wheel arches. The rear end houses the large, sleek side swept headlights with a large rear bumper. The overall exterior of the BMW 7-Series is fairly restrained but has a premium vibe to it.

The interior of the 2008 7-Series is very premium. The front and rear seats come covered in a choice of Black Dakota, Cognac Nappa, Canberra Beige, Mocha Nappa, Cognac Dakota, mocha Dakota, Ivory White, Zagora Beige Nappa leather as standard. It compromises the use of a choice between American oak, chestnut wood, gray poplar and piano black wood trim. Standard equipment includes electric 14-way driver and passenger seat, 4-zone climate control, cruise control, 12V rear power outlet, rear view camera, satellite navigation, 12-speaker 205-watt stereo speaker system with iPod, Bluetooth, CD, AUX and USB input. Options include heated steering wheel, heated front and rear seats, 3D Surround View camera, lane departure warning, blind spot detecting, parking assist, heads up display, power window side shades, front and rear ventilated seats, rear massaging seats, Bowers and Wilkins diamond surround sound system, rear seat entertainment package, night vision with pedestrian warning and a panoramic roof.
