Honda Civic Overview

The 9th Generation Honda Civic was launched in Pakistan in September 2012 by Atlas Honda Pakistan. The ongoing model has yet received no facelift. It is offered with 4 variants which are powered by a 1.8l engine with a choice of automatic or manual transmission. It is the flagship of mid-sized sedans in Pakistan.

Civic, being Honda’s most famous car throughout the world has a very pleasant and elegant exterior. The projection headlamps give the Civic a modern look and the rear end looks smooth. Overall, the Civic manages to deliver a look of perfection through its exterior.

The Grey and Beige themed interior in the Civic comes as standard in all 4 variants. The cabin of the Civic looks utterly unique, with a variety of multi info displays on the dash which aid the driver while driving. The speedo is a digital display in an LCD which is accompanied by a conventional tachometer underneath it. The i-Mid (intelligent multi info display) gives the driver an overview of his driving with statistics such as fuel consumption, average speed and time. The center console is different in VTi and VTi oriel variants as the VTi Oriel comes with an auto aircon system and in dash multimedia system with navigation whereas the VTi gets no manual aircon controls and a CD receiver with USB and aux option. The seat fabric and materials used are of very fine quality and the overall appearance is very pleasant.

The Civic is offered with only one engine which is a 1.8l i-Vtec I4 SOHC. However, you get to choose between a 5 speed manual or an automatic (Prosmatec).

Honda, with its clever valve technology delivers an efficient fuel economy. However, it should be noted that the mileage is solely dependent on the way the car is driven.

The tests conducted show that the Civic MT delivers a mileage of 10-11km/l locally and 13-14km/l on the highway. The AT version reduces these figures down to 9-10km/l locally and 12-13km/l on the highway.

The Civic is offered in 6 colors, named as Habanero Red, Alabaster Silver, Modern Steel Metallic, Crystal Black, Taffeta White, and Urban Titanium
