We reached Raikot Bridge at 4:45pm. On Raikot Bridge there is a PTDC Motel and from here hired Jeeps are available for Jail/Tato village (15km jeepable track) and from there another 9 km walking track for Fairy Meadows

Raikot bridge (Saturday 5pm) from Karakoram Highway (KKH) the 8<SUP>th</SUP> wonder of the world

Nobody is allowed to drive their own 4x4s except local jeeps drivers because the track is maintained by these jeep owners and villagers.

If no Jeep is allowed to use this road, then how did you managed to use it. I am also planing a trip to FM, thats why i asked. A nice trip, must have realy enjoyed it.

Buddy, the Jeep driver/owners have queue and they charge for their turn i.e. is 5000 Rs. {for drop and pick from Jael/Toto village (two trips)}, and if you want to take own jeep, they firstly oppose and if you negotiate they will charge you 4000-5000 Rs.

You can try and just go by yourself, without taking consent, then its all your luck and/or depending your abilities to handle conflicts.<o:p></o:p>
