Petrol smell in cabin while ac is on

Hello,

I have been facing a strange problem in my Suzuki Baleno 2005 since few days.

Whenever there is a quarter or more fuel in car's fuel tank and ac is turned on then there is a strong petrol smell inside the cabin.

This smell isn't there if ac is not turned on or fuel is less than 1/4th of fuel tank's total fuel capacity.

I know that a makeshift arrangement could be to keep fuel level less than a quarter or not to turn ac on but i need permanent solution and want to know that what could have gone wrong with the car.

One thing more; this smell is always there irrespective of the fact whether car is being driven on petrol or cng.

check the fuel pump - In cars running on CNG the fuel pump tends to give-in and there is a pin hole breather at bottom of fuel pump fuel starts to leak read fume-away from that breather hole.

check for any dampness at the base of fuel pump.

Baleno has electronic fuel pump which is installed in fuel tank.When A/C is on,engine r.p.m increases, which requires excessive fuel,incase if fuel rail or fuel return line got clogged then fuel flow restricted towards fuel tank could causing for smell.
