basically what i have found out is that normally the vehicles that generate more torque at low rpms have more power (not horse power). So in my opinion if both alto and cultus would have to on a hill station or lets say on an offroad journey, then alto would be MUCH more comfortable in climbing up the hills than cultus. but if these two cars decide to run a speed test, cultus having
1- more rpms (alto - 5.5k , cultus 6k )
2- more horse power at higher rpms (54.31[55.06] @ 5,500 (alto) , 60.35 [60.20] @ 6,000 (cultus) )
cultus would have more top speed on the longer run.
also if you check out these specs of a diesel vehicle, you ll find out that almost all of them generate more torque on low rpms.
