Default Swap in MY TOYOTA PLATZ 2004

    Dear PW's
I am driving Toyota Platz 04 with stock 1000 cc engine on petrol but it lags on motorway / long routes .
    I am planning for a swap 1sz to 2sz (1300)
    Is it recommanded ????
Rite now city avg is 12 km/l & long is 15-16km/l ; will it be better after swap ???
What about the wiring & OBD ???

The swap is easy and cheap... Wiring is same, you'' only need to change the ecu( from 1szfe to 2szfe). Remember to get a working ecu first.

The mileage will be almost the same or even better. But you will definetely enjoy the performance gains...

The swap will cost you maximum 30K.

    Cheers...
Driving is not about going from point A to point B, it is the point...

You need to contact @waleed80 the doctor for Platz. He'll guide you best. Ov vot I know, back in 2010 a 1000 cc engine cost Rs. 13000 while a 1300 cc one was for Rs. 20000.

thanks @Vajih102....lets see what i can think of about it
@ahmedwasiq ...... if i were u, i wud personally swap for 1nz fe (the 1.5 which comes in Corolla X and G). reason being, there is no particular use if u swap to 2sz, that too keeping an auto tranny...yes, if u change to manual tranny, then its ultimate fun. however, as it is extremely rare, the guy selling u wud charge u a lot, and in the exact same amount or maybe even less, u can go for a complete 1nz fe swap alongwith auto gearbox. think about it. platz with 1.5 even in auto wud rock. it is a pretty heavy car actually. get complete setup with wiring and ecu for 1nz and auto tranny and u r good to go. it wud be very light on fuel as well, i wud say as good as a 1.3....phenomenon being the same fuel economy of 1.0 vitz and 1.3 vitz (more weight, small engine, more work load = more weight, big engine, less workload = same fuel consumption)
PS : i had a manual 1SZ in my car, and it was awessssuummm...never felt lack of power on highways or hikes. was a beauty
