A visit to friend chickoo farm (Winder)

Winder is almost 60km away from Uthal city. A friend of mine has a chickoo farm there and invited me for the party

so buckled up and visited his farm on my ride. Total distance covered during the trip was 200km as after reaching Winder i took another long road to reach his farm. I wore shalwar kameez as the area was trible and want to mix up with the local community

As soon as you reach winder, you will realize the abundant amount of coconut trees being planted. Winder also has large amount Fish Feed farms and you will notice an unusual smell as soon as you enter the Winder territory.

Winder is also famous for the production of Banana's

After reaching winder, i took this side road it was long and many chickoo farms were present on this road. I cant recall the name of this road.

The area is almost deserted, its hard to find population for the first 5km on this road

Entering the farm, the people here are quite hospitable, Although they have only basic facilities to live thier lives but still they treat you with open heart

A close up.. They were rock as hard and literally you can throw them to hurt some one pretty hard. Thier's way to ripe chickoo, You have to store them in a warm place with no ventilation and in a day or two the will ripe. They are transported in raw form(Solid)
