Friends, I received a call yesterday from Pak Suzuki and was invited to hold a meeting with Pak Suzuki Service department regarding the issues I communicated to them over e-mail. So I went there today morning and held a 1-hour long meeting with Manager Services, Assistant Manager - Marketing, and one other guy from Services department whose designation I do not seem to know.
To my joy, everyone was there in time as I requested them to follow the time because I had to join my office following our meeting. I laid down below three major issues before them:
- Flatness of seat
- Inappropriate rear and front fender
- Kick lever touching foot-rest
They listened to the issues keenly, took notes, and even drew diagrams on paper to properly identify the issue. I tried to convey information to them to the best of my knowledge and experience. Regarding the first fender, they assured a quick solution to it by adding an extender to rectify the issue. They also acknowledged other issues, and regarded them as design issues changes to which involve decision of senior management of Pak Suzuki as well as Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC). They assured me of presenting the issues to senior management and informed me that there is a keen internal follow-up going on in Pak Suzuki on the e-mail I sent to them.
Also, they physcially inspected my GD and took photographs to highlight the issues I had put before them. Pictures of rear and front fender with shortcomings pointed-out by finger, i.e. front fender's tail pointed at to indicate there should be an extender here, and rear fender's sides pin-pointed to bring their attention to missing "side-walls"; kick lever; foot-rest; splashes of mud on rear shock absorbers, side covers, and engine housing, and front craddle were taken. They showed consent on all the issues except the seat design on which they were a little reluctant, but did include it in their notes.
It was pleasant meeting them; I hope something positive would come out of it.
PS: To all GD owners, the team did highlight the fact that number of complaints on an issue are a strong driving factor of issue resolution - more the number of complains, quicker the Management's response to them. Pak Suzuki is holding free check-ups in all over Lahore. They are doing free maintenance of Suzuki bikes and also giving away surprise gift-hampers; e.g. coupons, and free oil filter. They are also taking feedback of customers to present it to management. So I encourage all owners of Suzuki GD 110 in Lahore to visist Suzuki clinics, get a free check-up and service, and simultaneously register your feedback with them.
Next check-up on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Madni Motors, Kirshan Nagar, Lahore. Do visit it. Good luck.
