i think both are same, Suede is just a raw form of valvet(appearance is same but a no. of varieties available). used mainly in making of ladies sandles/Chappals. Back in 2005, it is just 70rs/mtr

Mate, suede is leather product, and its pretty expensive. More than 10 times of what you've mentioned. Generally we have jackets, shoes, gloves, bags etc made of suede.
Velvet is thick and soft woven fabric. Its used for upholstery, curtains, clothing etc. I don't know how'd you mix them.
