absolutely sir...it was a metaphor, I was just talking about the hard seats...some of the cars that a lot of us aspire to drive have hard seats and are also used for extremely long drives...and now I am thanking my lucky stars that I didn't put in a lambo or a bentley in my post
be it a compact a mid size or a luxury premium, every car is designed to give out a particular feel and experience to the driver. The Audi A8 is a floating ship, while the same car with the S8 badge (with a lambo engine) has rock hard seats and a very stiff suspension more like a grounded ship...why because both cars offer a totally different experience to the users and are aimed at totally different drivers.
@AliNaseem The notorious Toyota/Honda debate...well I believe people just waste their time...both cars deliver completely different experiences and if one is aware of what he wants he can easily pick out what is for him.
Sporty feel or even falling into the category has nothing to do with how big or small the car is...ever heard of the Golf or the passat CC or the scirocco or what about the 135i (BMW) (all small, all 4 or 5 seaters) or are you saying that a family man with a family sedan in a reasonably priced car (from global standards since you are quoting global car categories) does not have any right to feel sporty...so car manufacturers should not and cannot target a SAADI garee with a sporty feel to him
oh and yes I don't really have anything much better to do right now..the match is going pretty unexciting right now...
[QUOTE=mshehzad;3112594 I kept brand new reborn last year too for almost 8 months but didn't experience this thing with seats. So I was just wondering to find out whether anyone else has experienced same thing. So that's just my curiosity.[/QUOTE]
Shehzad you might just be right, unfortunately with local cars this is a pretty established myth that as a particular gen/shape gets older, the quality starts deteriorating. I had a 2004 corolla once and now I have a 2007 corolla...zameen asman ka farq hai in terms of build quality...the best term I can use is the 2007 sorta feels 'loose'...maybe that could be the case with the civic. I haven't driven the earlier ones (06 onwards - 09) so I really can't compare but you can actually be right on this one. Maybe you can check this theory when you go for your 1000 km service (or your next one) to Honda, as normally they have tons of older ones standing being serviced/washed.
