you are right, the garnish was cracked though. I didn't want a dirty repair job, so got new one's installed. Still have the garnish with me, i'll see if i can get it repaired and will keep it for future

Can you please tell me from where you got the lights, I mean from which market and are these Original or from Taiwan. I want to change the front and back lights of my Corolla as these are now fainted.
yar these are taiwanese, got these from the plaza karachi. Even if you could find a genuine Japanese pair, which is rare in the first place, the price would be sky high. Only the original rear garnish was for 3.5 to 4.5k!
