Bad experiance with " turtle wax "

salam to all pakwheelers, this is to share my worst experience with " turtle wax @ i thought it wud be some good for my 2000 indus corolla but it just ruined all my cars looks,,,,, marks are being appeared all over the body,,,,, i rubbed it like a hell but no good happen marks all over the body like some one rubbed oil on the body

i always used formula one for my car and its result is miles better than this turtle crap true waste of money.

Looks like a fake copy. That explains the bad results otherwise turtle waxes are pretty good.

funny today i was going to buy turtle wax but the store was out of stock so i got formula1 carnauba wax , was suspicious of fake waxes as rumors with formula shine fake waxes these days but got original one from a trusted place.. after seeing your thread makes me think there are also fake waxes of turtle as well? what is the world coming to! :S

I had also experience the same thing I bought it from makro here in Lahore and its just crap it take too much time to remove it from.body and result is nothing all the energy is just being wasted :mad::mad::mad:

as you can see from the condition of the tub, the wax is too old, must have been lying on store shelves for a long time

but i must say turtle stuff is terrible it may be cheap at first sight but in reality it never gives the results like better brands and can be simply dangerous. for example their clay bar lubricant is just shampoo water, thats a killer with someone inexperienced.

So apart from Turtle Wax, which is a better brand? ( excluding Formula1 ) for bike

i started from Formula one then moved on to Cosmic (Cosmic is really better than Formula one)
now im using Turtle wax
at first i had alot of trouble using hard shell wax because of the following things
using it in sunlight
leaving it on for long
using alot of wax
so i corrected my way of application and now everything is fine
as V1 said its not the product its the person using it
P.S try using paste wax's there alot easier to use and dont buy from Metro they have old stock buy Turtle wax prods. from SACA plus

Check the car care and detailing thread, people are using turtle wax and i believe results were quite good. I am currently using 3M paste wax.

naah it isnt lyke that... it was lying in ma shelf for quite long... thats y tub is looking weird.

Well ive decided to stick with formula1 as i m pretty much satisfied.... pix for reference after applying formula one at my ride.

and these picas where clicked after a day or two of apply.

Sorry to know your bad experience but really, Turtle products have been known to do wonders. Since you are not the only one (smile!), i bet it's not an old box that you purchased but in fact fake copies that may have surfaced. Thanks a bundle for the warning though.

ohhh brother you have purchased fake 3rd class copy of turtle wax

brother your paint is way too thin, go for meguiars #26 wax. it is a pure wax meaning it is totally non abrasive it will make the paint last longer. even cosmic is better than formula.

btw did you wet the application pad while applying hard shell?

nope never did it... i had new one so didnt thought to make is wet..... but i dont think that wud help.

read the instructions carefully please, it will help. if you make the pad damp while applying wax

try to spread it as thin as possible
