I think disconnecting the battery terminals also resets the ECU (not sure if disconnecting it for sometime resets it or a certain connect/disconnect/touch wire etc does it). If that happens, you'll get bad mileage for the first 100-200 kms until the ECU retunes itself.

Thanks so much for such expressive feedback. Thoroughly enjoy your feedback ! I haven't been lucky enough yet to find a shady area with balanced light.. Its either been too lit for me or too dark (requiring flash) but inshAllah koi na koi spot milaygaa.

and that is one helluva detail on the buick. Love it. Clearly explains your deep flowy effect. Thumbs up !

Vitz has a very short bonnet, and very inclined as well so from the front view you hardly get to see any special good effect as compared to a bonnet from sedan. I have been meaning to detail my brother's 95 jdm silver corolla se limited which is mashAllah in great body condition (ofcourse with swirls). Its body shape is close to that of your buick. Possibly will do it after ramzan. Lets see how many "miles" close i can get to yours

1) upgrade ur self with some quality wax

2) water beasding showing lack of wax coating on surface thats reason amir bhai said for cosmic "aik raat ki dulhan " as its life too short and in just one wash it disappear and ur car surface again showing maat silver look instead of shiny, rich water beading etc

3) in last he is asking u about reasons for that.

in my view car surface need claying , polishing and some better finishing wax coat

Yes i agree the water beading showing the cars paint like mat finish, and the reason is not the cosmic as i have already said i have bought the cosmic for the first time and that was the first application, never used before it. The previous coating of wax on car was mother's carnuaba cleaner wax around 15 days before this wash. I dont use that wax regularly on Ahmad bhai's guide that it will eat up the car's paint. So i cant blame the cosmic.

Now coming to reason that why it is looking like mat i wanna tell you that when i captured the beadings the car was almost dry and dirty. The water on the car was due to the car's cover wash next to it, the pressurized water directing towards the cover lying on solid floor also splashed on the car's doors and fender. Neither the car was watered nor shampooed so is the reason behind the mat look of the paint. U can see the dirty surface. And the camera is also doing well to show it mode worst as i am able to judge that the pics are unfocused.

A little "pre-aftaari" process on the car, 3rd day to the actual detail. Did 3M Performance finish coat in the morning and when it reached back home at 6pm, gave it a detailer's wipe and glazed it with Gold Class as @accord7362 suggested.

You can clearly have an idea of how badly the left fender needs a wet sand + compounding job.

Tyres are dirty as didn't wash it, however they only need a wet cloth wipe.

@dynamicallyStatic, sorry bro, tried a LOT but couldn't capture any flakes due to poor lighting, but I guess results are pretty nice.

I know I am late with this and actually in the week 6 of my werkstat application, but I have been keeping the results handy in my phone and being lazy in just posting them up here. I try to be different in all results i Post, so this post would be no different and would have the writeup done differently.

So, here are the week 4 results (i.e. end of the week 4, a month). I went for a full wash this time (the prior cleaning was mostly detailer oriented).

Bari himmat karke I started washing at 9pm and used Turtle ice shampoo new series. Ghar walay pareshaan... yeh tu din mein kiya kerta thaa, abb raat ko bhi kiya karaygaa :o I said, khaana lagain, bus foran gari dhoo kar aata hoon and ofcourse they were quick than me .. So I washed the car, had dinner and then I decided to put another couple of coats of my werkstat acrylic jett trigger. I know Ahmad bhai wont be happy with this , but since this I got no natural wax, I had to content with more applications of sealants and unlike other sealants, this werkstat range is known to layer exceptionally well adding more beauty with more layers. Seeing Rich's response here , he seems to love topping OCW on top of AJT. Although the post is very old and OCW has had a respin, I am sure it still yields great results.
An experienced friend has advised for Pinnacle Souveran liquid wax to be more appropriate for topper over AJT and lighter metallics which makes it slightly confusing for me.


Would the carnauba topper over AJT be extra noticeable for its wetness/depth/gloss or a slight change that goes away quick?


Since you guys are the werkstat guys, what would you be your recommendation between these two (there is a big price diff between the two as well unless the difference between these two is a lot as well?).

In our more recent experiences we would personally just continue to build the layers of AJT and not bother topping with a wax, the more layers of AJT the better in our eyes!

So, I went ahead with 2 more layers of acrylic jett and ofcourse it was night time so i couldn't tell the difference. But next morning, while the car was parked in shade, there was definitely more gloss and depth (which you'll see, or may be i overnoticed expecting a change

Okay, so I need some information, looking for it since quite long but to no use, forgot to ask ustaad gee on the GTG.

How do I clean the ceiling (headliner) and the floor carpet of the car without removing? I have Turtle Pre soak, but since its Pink in color, I can't use it, leaves its color on all the fabric natured interior parts of the car.

What to use and how to do it?

Yeh nechay walay dono bhaiyoun nay behtareen mashaway aur taikay bataye hain.....if yer worried about the pre-soak leaving stains, turn to APC from meguairs or 3m.....rest the methods described are more than good enough.

If your roof is made of cloth or fabric then use an interior cleaner with a microfiber. If you don't have an interior cleaner then I suggest you buy one; it can be used not only on roof but on whole interior as an AIO. I'm referring to the tw ice one; I like it. It doesn't work well for heavy stains but does good cleaning and gives a non-greasy satin/matte like appearance with is good if you want to avoid glare. Another solution is the cheap one; surf wale kapre se ragro then use a new wet/damp mf so soak up remaining detergent(this step is important so be careful not to use too much detergent or else you'll be wiping it off literally forever). For carpets i'll suggest to first thoroughly vacuum them then dry clean them meaning use very less water to avoid wiring under carpets getting wet and to avoid mildew. If you have hard stains then I think a stain remover will work although you can use pre-soak but the color is a problem.........just use very less and see if it works. If you have access to a vacuum which can suck a little water without getting shorted out then that's great. If not then spray on a stain remover/interior cleaner, rub with a mf for better cleaning.

Will definitely be adding nuba when i get some (hopefully pinnacle liquid sourveran as strongly suggested by Ahmad bhai). Currently nuba'less.
I have heard 'excess of everything is bad', but your version sounds more optimistic

Yeah, wont be adding more layers of sealant anytime soon rather now after every wash will be using Werkstat gloss (their detailer which is part sealant part cleaner) to the mantain these 5 layers.

I don't know what u have in mind about polishing brush but mine one is very soft hair , even soffest tooth brush can't match with its soft hairs.
Its totaly safe for carpet, roof lining fabric, dash, door trims etc
Don't worry its soft hair don't harm fibers of carpet.

so got the compound done n they did wet sanded it first,one more session is left
that day the repainted panel had alot of shine n reflection after compound,then it rained n after a day i washed it today n now that panel seems dull again,y this happens?
also there seem some compound particles stuck as well

the paint is still soft meaning it still needs cure time to become fully hard. If you used a mf wash mitt then it may have caused scratches on the soft paint or there was something on the fender which didnt wash off.
Compound particles? If its all over the repainted panel then it might be overspray; try using clay to remove the particles or you can use a light polish. You said one more session is left so you may want to wait before trying something on your own....

Ahmad bhai, the brush you are using.....is it a horsehair brush? Im asking because horsehair brushes are soft and safe for use on delicate surfaces like carpets, fabric etc.

Oh and btw, toothbrushes no matter how soft use nylon fibers which is like rubbing plastic. You may want to fetch a horsehair brush as the bristle are natural and soft and safe to use. Ahmad bhais suggestion will definitely work too.

but well it rained n he asked me to get it washed from pump but wid shampoo b4 next compound session so i had to wash it,i used megs wash mitt shampoo n a new very soft mf for drying
