SOMEONE TO COMMENT PLZ.... ON THIS DESCRIMINATION~!
Most of the people think that duplicate book means "Daal mein kuch kaala hey".
Don't know the procedure followed by the ETO office when issuing a duplicate book. But its true that if u have a duplicate book, the chances of you selling the vehicle drop by 90-95%
again this was a simple matter to get a new book of one's car if its lost or spoiled somehow but our mighty dealers/brokers made it an issue in order to gain a lot of benefit by selling/under selling these sorts of cars. As a matter of fact, it should not have any impact on the market/resale of any car because issuing a duplicate/replaced book means that the particular car has been re-verified that's y new book is issued. But as we all know how things work here, so if the car has all the record available at ETO office and has not been tempered, its as good as any other car which has original book.
Duplicate - when the original book is lost and a new book is issued by the ETO Office.Replace - when the original book is spoiled or ruined and submitted to ETO Office and a new book is issued. The original book in this case stays with ETO Office.
or vice versa...?
so shouldnt we do EHTEJAJ to such dealers?
If one's book get lost or stolen he has to register an FIR first and then apply to ETO for the duplicate book. Duplicate is printed on the papers u get from the ETO office. The problem is that if some criminal gets your lost origianl book then he can apply for the number plate having your registered number and can install it on his vehicle and can use it in any criminal activity as he can only be checked via engine or chasis number.

^ You better look for those things at some other place, at PakWheels such practice is not allowed.
