Please refer to the first post here on how to use this wax. In summary, the texture of this wax hardens up in this weather and before use it needs to be put in hot tap water for 5-10 minutes (and shaken every 2-3 minutes). This will turn the wax consistency into watery consistency. Since the texture is very thin, be sure not to overload your applicator pad with it as very very very little is needed to do a whole car... Keep a 15ml portion in mind doing the whole car. Also, dont apply the wax thick.. watch the pad application from an angle and as long as a thin wax pattern appears from your application you need to keep going further and further without adding more to the pad.
Prior to the application, wash the car thoroughly. If you have a paint pre-wax cleanser (e.g. from Meguiars), apply that first since that will prepare the surface better. But incase you dont have it, just make sure you wash your car with a stronger concentration of car shampoo.
Just to get your technique right, do one panel (say the fender), apply a very very thin layer of wax such that the application pattern appears to you only at a certain angle. Wait 2-5 minutes depending on weather. Do a swipe test . If it passes remove the wax with a microfiber towel. If you feel the removal is difficult, either you applied thick OR for rest of the panels you need to remove the wax slightly earlier than the wait time. Now keeping the drying time in mind, go about the car applying wax and remove as the drying time approaches. My guess would you you can do 1/3rd of a car and come back to the first panel you did and start removing from there. Dont let it sit for too long and do it all in shade.

In the end, You can also apply it to your clean rims and they will stay clean and will be easier to wash.
Down the road, wash it with a car shampoo (proper dilution stated by manufacturer). When you notice the water beading/sheeting dropping, that'll be time to re-apply.. Next time you re-apply (4-8 months), be sure to use a pre-wax cleanser.
