Building my sound system from scratch

AoA. Hope all of you are doing good. Happy New Year 2012 :)


I got a Swift in August 2011 and since then was thinking of upgrading my sound system.

I keep going through threads here on PWs and once I read madhouse12 saying if you're building your sound system from scratch, start from the Headunit, so I did the same. This time decided to opt for a DVD Headunit. Initially got a DVD Headunit and a Reverse Camera. This was part 1 and will be upgrading the remaining stuff 'step wise' in the months to come :)

so that was you on laser sound yesterday ? i was there as well with my black 09 civic on 18s black chrome rims, which was parked at the oposite side of the road. when i saw this swift i was thinking that i ve seen it some where on forums but i was not so sure about it.

First of all congrats, nice add ons. How is the performance of 4350 unit?
Can u tell the price of both things? And also where u installed the camera?( Why there are no red and green lines in the rear view

I'd be needing suggestions for them. What would you recommend ?
Amp: I've heard good things about the soundstream amps so they are an option
Comps: No idea at all, have never used comps before.
Sub: Honestly haven't thought about it yet :P

Budget would be pretty decent for these, Insha'Allah as I'll be building my setup in steps and not in one go :)

Nice catch Yup that was me on Laser Sound and yes, I did see your civic as well and I must say nicely done, Masha'Allah If I remember correctly; a person with a slight beard was driving that body kitted black civic and listening to songs from Murder 2, right ? :P

4350: Quality wise, it's very good. Haven't seen much videos on it as yet. Just bought a DVD from Hall Road to check and I guess, the recording quality of that DVD was not doing full justice to the Headunit.

Pioneer 4350 is 35.5k and CMOS-200 is 11k
Camera: Post 2, Picture # 5, its just above the number plate :)

Lines: Ummm, I guess those lines are shown if the CAM has a feature called Parking Assist. If that is not the case, I might be missing a tweak on how to activate it :$

Congrats on the setup bro The DVD player is giving a stock look and the cam result is amazing.

Next step add a pair of components and a sub.

Yup the touch screen of the 4350 is very user friendly and easy to navigate through the GUI. No need for the steering remote.

Please suggest, so as to complement what is already in the car. Budget will be pretty decent, Insha'Allah

Components: Don't have any idea as I've never used them before. Have always used 6x9's but won''t be using those this time. Reason: The rattling of the 'phatta' on the rear deck/shelf is just not acceptable to my father.
