since ADVENT of used JDM cars landing in PK every 2nd car is equipped with Toll sensors, multimedia screen & maps. The technology used in Japan for Vehicle navigation is different compared to Pakistan and in Japanese language. People paying a Million plus for used cars start searching for maps & navigation etc etc knock over all possible forums to upgrade activate the maps / navigation etc etc.
SD cards are for maps - [ readable maps for Pakistan will work only if GPS engine & firmware is upgraded to conventional GPS logarithm ]
The under dash / over dash / sun visor mounted CARD readers are for Toll gate [ use less in Pakistan ]
all such attempts end up with very less success & loss of money. Unless the hardware is upgraded and respective region map card is used.
only after 2010 JDM Prius & Prius euro model have language selection with global map built-in. That works with the on board phone connectivity, just like local Toyota & Honda variants equipped with navigation & hands free blue tooth phone options.
any PHONE DEAD areas across Pakistan and navigation will freeze to last position only. - perform a test with a phone jammer in vehicle 
Please avoid wasting time money & resources to USE / activate Japanese versions of Navigation,
swap upgrade to what is locally available hardware / maps available for Pakistan. There are people scamming in "MODIFYING" JDM navigation. Upgrading the conventional GPS engine but without firmware change charges are exorbitant, any reset / reboot / battery removal turn those systems back to japanese language and map card fail to reboot.
