capacitor will remain at same potential as battery. be it 14 with engine on, 12.5 at idle, or 10 with bad battery
yes thts wat i am trying to say .... it remains the same as the battery because it takes current from your electrical system. so if u have a weak electrical system , a cap will not consensate for it because it still has to take the current from ur "weak" electrical system.....
you are confusing current with voltage. how are we wasting 1-10volts? current follows between to potentials, one is your ground 0V (not 10v ) , other is +ve node of ur capacitor at battery voltage 12+ or alternator voltage 13.5+
no u didnt get wat i was trying to explain. ok read carefully. if u have two slopes , water is going to flow from higher point to lower. if both the points are equal , then water will just stand there right? therefore , current will alwaz flow from higher to lower point. once a battery is at 10V , ur system will fail which means ur cap will also fail at 10 Volts in it... which mean u have actually wasted current in charging the cap . so therefore a 1 farad cap is only good for its 1/3 part. the rest 2/3 is not usable!
it will charge it self until both battery/alternator and itself are at same voltage level. its not wasted, all accessories connected thru battery or capacitor can use it
like i said above , at 10volts everything will fail which mean 2/3 of the cap actualy capacity is just a waste. it only going to keep alove at 14.4 volts if the alt charges it and at 12.5 volts, the alt has to charge the battery plus give contineous current to the cap... is tht an extra load on the alt?
depends on driving and listening styles,
2000rms is around 150A at 13-14volts
your 60-70A? alternator was enjoying enough free time to charge the batteries
umm didnt really understand wat u mean by this? in a typical case , an alt has about 40% free which mean if an alt is 60A , then u have about 24A free for addons.
u take ur amp and divide its rms into peak power
2000/4000 (usually rms is half of peak) = .50/ 50%
then u multiply it with the fuse 240x50%= 120A.
which means i need 120A contineous current drawing from the alt.
obviously my alt couldnt do tht so it all went down to the battery.
while my battery held it at 11-12.5 the alt tried to charge it . a cap would only try to keep it up at 12.5-14.4 volts on paper because if it really did, i wouldnt be needing a battery! because the volts would not fall below 12.5 ever.
lol hahaha redbull really man this stuff is all geforce material...... damnn cant believe i started acting like him ........ lol no more theories
