Hi guys. im trying to get the best sound quality out of my system.
this is the head unit i got:
AVH-P7500DVD - | Pioneer Electronics USA
it has an audio processor built in so i set up my crossovers, positioning and time allignment etc thingys on the hu. (obviously many of you may understand this thing better) for that reason i hunt up an amplifier with the least functions in it. after alot of patience, this is what i found:
Addzest - 6ch amplifier (A-4800) - Nengun Performance
It's a clarion. Japanese built. im not sure how it compares with other (branded) amps out there in the market but it sounds CLEEEEAN and powerful! functions? just gain controls sweet? what do you think? and trust me ive set the gains to the minimum possible because im pretty aware that it WILL blow my speakers out easily. i got my sla a bit down, also, i can set the outputs for fl, fr, rl, rr, center and sub from the hu and that's how ive set it up. also i got dsps for front, rear and center on the hu aswell.
okay the speakers, i got sony components in the front, jbl 3way somethings in the rear doors, and kenwood 718's in the rear deck. all originals. they're in a 07 corolla. i'll leave the sub out for now.
okay now the questions,
1) currently ive wired up my rear door speakers on rear. my hu's got an option for me to select speaker size aswell, Small or Large. this cuts out heavy bass out if you set em up for small. ive set up my fronts as small and im happy with how they sound. dont want bass there. my rears are on large. both the 718s and the jbls. i can push the 718s a bit harder than the jbls, and because of that, im unable to fine tune them properly. i wanna be able to adjust the bass that comes out from the jbls. do i need a pair of crossovers for this? suggestions?
2) also on the dsp for rear, ive set the peak for lows at 80hz. i keep it at 63 or 80 but atm its at 80. ive set up the sub for the lower frequencies obviously. should i stop rubbing that bar :-! ? does it matter? it must vary with speakers right? i think i like it at 80
3) Time allignment. I got a mic with the hu which when i attach to the drivers seat, i can auto tune my system. ( you have to leave the car and the hu measures distances of all the speakers and stuff) takes about 10 minutes. Because im attaching the mic to the drivers seat, does that mean i'll get better sq than the person sitting at like the rear? do you guys use time allignment?
it sounds superb. ive turned town my sla so i can use the full range of my volume control (upto 40). but you know how it goes, keera hota hai :P. hope you experts can answer my questions
