Standard speed limit EVERYWHERE in Islamabad is bad, it should be like in USA, every road should have a specific posted speed (main ones). Like margalla road, should definetly be 80 as not many cars turn onto it (which is why people easily speed on it and police love to set their traps there). The blue area road can be understood for being slower as lots of cars turning in and out. From citibank to F10 chowk should be 80 and so on but It gets so complicated that no one would do that!
Secondly, they should stop cars for going TOO slow, ie these taxi wala's going 40 causes more harm than anything else.
Third: Stop lights should be on a variable. During rush hours timings should be different than for evening.
Fourth. Its the natural flow of cars to go straight at intersections. But here in islamabad, each direction has their own equal time which is crazy. There should be a small time for cars turning right on both sides to go for a short time to clear them out then 2 parallel lanes should be allowed to go at the same time, I dont know how many times I sit waiting to go straight and not a single car is turning.
And lastly as not to get too long: They shouldnt stop people going less than 10 km/hr over and if they do it should just be a warning. I know lots of people stopped for doing 70, insane!
