I bought a Honda City 2011 two months back. It's stock tyres are of 175/65/15 size. I took the car on motorway last week for the very first time and I found the grip of the Eurostar tyres to be awful during downhill drive at Kalar Kahar and also in wet conditions. I've compared the difference of tyres size on the visual tyre calculator and the results are as follows. The 185/65/15 gives a difference of 2.1% to the original stock size and 195/60/15 is giving a difference of 1.1%. Please suggest to me which size to go for. I wish to retain the car's mileage and maintain a good grip on the road. Also suggest to me a reliable brand that is easily available from the market. Thanks for your help.

Go for 195/65 R15, Conti Comfort Contact CC5, City Tyre And Rubber Company's Photos - Continental Pattern Catalog 2011 | Facebook Its the best choice.
Thanks for the info n4nomi. But the 195/65 profile gives a difference of 4.3%. Would it not effect the suspension and make the steering a little heavier? Need your feedback on this. Is the continental tyre available in the 195/60 profile?
195/55/15 would be close to perfect
remember if you are increasing the width like 195 u should reduce the % of height 195/65 would be high, 195 ka 55% bather rahay ga , i am using it ...else choice is yours
accord7362 Thanks for the advice. I've heard a lot of good feedback from Continental tyre owners. But what about Dunlop or Bridgestone in this size range?

go for 185, grip and economy both in one dish! as far as company is concerned go for the softest tyre available as its suspension is hard.
Well you have to be within 5% Difference while switching the size, 195/65 R5 Will give you comfortable & Cushion Ride,
195/55 R15, BS is a very Good Tyre, but 55 series will give a bumpy & Stiff Ride
@accord7362 Your Steermatic looks awesome beyond belief, especially the its trademark alloys and the wide Bridgestone tyres.
@Legal_rebel @n4nomi Points taken. Will visit the local tyre shop and see which brand is available. Which brand would you suggest? What are your thoughts on the Dunlop SP Sports.
Dunlop deforms sooner then any other tires that is near 40k kms though they are very soft and prone to punctures soon. u want the quietest possible ride then go for Yokohama db series. ask the tire shop guy to give you the magazine as every company have different types in same size for different roads. he can sell you set of tires which are for rally driving but if he is getting more profit he will convince you for the city use and most of the people buy it. use the net get the info and tell them give me that DON'T ASK them.
Thanks Legal Rebel. Should I buy the tires from Islamabad or Rawalpindi. Which shop sells genuine Yokohamas?
pindi is better, im going to buy set of tyres this saturday from pindi for my new city. will update you then. i think its on muree road i don't exactly remember the place but those shop had some serious good and fresh tires as they supply tires to islamabad too
195/65/15 profile is "running profile"; you will find the most recent tyres of this profile. The other profiles; finding most recent tyres will be harder. I used 195/65/15 profile in this new City and it was fine. Incresed road grip and didnt had much affect on fuel consumption. Kept it for about 1.5 years (~22k on ODO) and suspension was perfect when I sold it. The only issue you might face is that speedometer tells less when you increase the profile and driving it @ 120 on motorway you might get a ticket. https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/wheels-tyres-suspension-brakes-steering/168792-i-did-some-maths-thats-what-i-found has the explaination
