    Default City 2011

    Aoa,
So i just ordered my Honda city 2011 and was planning to install new tyres and rims to the car. So please suggest me what should be the perfect rims size to go for and what should be the profile of the tyres.I want a clean and nice look of my car and the ride should be comfortable after the tyres swap.

stick with the stock rims. the new ones in the market are all Chinese. they are gonna ur ride comfort, steering feel and wud badly affect ur fuel economy. go for 195/60/15 in Yokohama DB. for further assistance, contact @stingray

I am searching for same stuff tyres for new city

As long as size is concern yeah better go for stock size 15"

However I am bit confused regarding tyre size should it be 195/60/15 or 195/65/15 I have visited lots of shops every one giving their own reason go for 65 some says 60 is best, I personally saw the difference by placing along side stock tyre, 195/60/15 and 195/65/15 and yes 65 was quite a big and as per calculation 1.3+% difference for 60 and 4.1+% for 65

For tyre brand i have heard good abt Yokohama DB series but in this price you can get Michelin or Continental too.

db lacks grip, all you will be getting is a silent drive n thats it nothing special. u want grip go for dunlop sp 300 as i went for in 185 size. 195s are big for city, though 205 will also work but no where in the world new city comes with 195 but 185 and 175.

    @ Arhum

Changing tire or rim size will effect you speedometer calibration
Changing tire size from 175/65-15 (Original City Profile) to 195/65-15 will make your speedometer reading erroneous by 4.27%. Speedo reading will be less then actual by 4.27%

If you can live with it then go ahead.

for no speedo problems, upgrade from 175/65R15 to 195/55 or 50. same overall diameter, wider tires.

Dear I didn't create math, nature did !

    195/65-15 will do 807 rev/mile

    175/65-15 will do 842 rev/mile

DO YOU SEE THAT IT WILL EFFECT CALIBRATION ?

    Please don't argue math

    Thanks,
