make sure to use ONLY genuine CVJ grease. Honda sells it as part no. 08798-9007 it shoud cost you about the equal of USD 8/- which is Rs 800/- for a tube.

Other greases that are really good are Liquimoly LM47, Meisersatz CVJ with lead - expensive stuff, There are many CVJ greases out there, the basic properties should be EP lithium complex grease NLG1 or 2 with at least 10% moly. The Honda grease is very good tho.

i used abro grease when repacking axel of civic... cost 250rs for a 90gm tube... dunno if its good.. had a black slaty type color... and more fluidy then normal grease..

so far no noises from the axel..
the problem is not our govt... its the people..

The joint life is directly proportional to the grease quality in it. The correct CVJ greases are usually black as sin and a bit wet too, infact Ive seen some as semi fluid.

In Pakistan one can buy a big package of it, and settle the price among some freinds.

Yup, I changed the CV joint on Liana and though we might will sell the vehicle in next 2 years so no need to buy very expensive CV joints. SO went ahead and bough chinies one for around Rs 2500 with grease included. After all, CV joints fails because of torn rubber caps. Guess what, I did not even lasted two months.

thinking of redoing the job with branded ones.
