Cool Owner's Club: Honda City Aspire 2013 1.5L

    Hi Guys,

I thought all 1.5L Aspire owner's can come under one roof and share their opinions about this car and the unique engine type which has been introduced for the first time in Pakistan in ivtec. This will also provide a good reference point to standard City and Aspire 1.3L owners and help everyone make an informed decision to the age old conflict between Standard City or Aspire when it comes to new purchase.

    Areas of Focus:
    Engine Performance
    Entertainment System
    Navigation/GPS Performance
Handling/Braking considering new Aspire is 1.5L
    and many more ..........

All opinions and suggestions are welcome.

To clarify city does have vents under front seats for rear passengers as shown in the picture. (This is the Aspire version, I am unsure about the normal variant)

It's normal; it probably included lots of idling and vroom vroom action on part of the dealer. Don't worry about fuel consumption problems yet; read below to avoid oil consumption problems later on.

Be sure to run the new car through the gears, varying RPM and load, and giving a few short bursts of acceleration the 4k-5k RPM (only on completely warm engine). Include plenty of engine braking, and avoid unnecessary idling. These conditions are easy to fullfil in city and GT road conditions; avoid the motorway for at least until 300 km or so, or even longer.

New brakes also need a break in period; don't brake hard for the first 300 km.

Also, don't get the oil changed until specified by the owner's manual; Hondas are filled with a special break in oil, and it needs to be used as long as possible.
_ 22 km/l from '03 VTi automatic, with plenty of room for improvement

Thanks man for pretty nice and detailed reply. Actually I was lil bit shocked because I was expecting some 13+ mileage as I heard form alot of people and the pw it self that city is a very fuel efficient ride. well I got ya point other than that em really satisfied and one more thing its p
prosmatec and I felt like its not responsive probably being a new ride thats why. Anyways the moment I accelerate it i feel like the power is delivering after 2 or 3 seconds so there is a very noticeable lag in the flow. So again is it normal?
