Default Liana 2006/07 vs City 2004

I am considering Liana 2006/07 or City 2004 to buy as my first car. Which out of the two do you guys think is best in terms of resale, economical maintenance/spares. I will learn to drive on this car and do not have experience of maintaining a car before.

    Please suggest with reasons.

    Thanks!

If you don't have maintaing a car before i would say go for City as so many mechanics are aware of it and you will find it easy to maintain, best of luck. As you will also learn driving on it, I found liana little hard to drive don't why

Don't buy Liana if you won't get it company maintained. Roadside vendors can't handle it. Also, it has slow resale. Meaning it'll take your time and money both.

Don't buy such an old City either. That shape and the next have a weird heating up issue you'll never find a solution of.

Either pool in some more money for a Corolla or buy whichever model comes in your budget. Civic would turn expensive to maintain. Again, Corolla would be cheaper.

@ Shaanpk! Have seen your posts in regarding this subject in different threads since yesterday...well the things that we should keep in mind:
    1) it will be your first car (you will learn to drive - - it will be the same car)
    2) maintenance cost
    3) as you are planning to leave the country soon, so resale is also important

keeping all the above in mind, i would suggest you to get a Mehran - buy a well kept 2011-12... you wont regret it...its easy to maintain, cheap parts and very good resale...a good car is sold within a day

Yes brother, I am not sure which car to go for, that's why I am trying to compare all of my options and take advise from the experts.

If you want to dispose it off soon, you got no option other than Toyota and Suzuki. If you want a vehicle with trunk space, make it Corolla.
