Hi pakwheelers, my friend's City 1.5 2014 manual has its RPM at 4 on 120 kmph in fifth gear, is it normal with other city owners also or is there something wrong with this particular vehicle? Please help.Regards
On which gear
5th.......
It will be on between 3 and 4
Then why is this car at 4000 RPM? Any ideas?
Maybe wrong calibration of rpm or speedometer? Or perhaps a shorter 5th gear was accidentally fit at the factory? For comparison, Cultus does 120 at 3400 rpm.
Doesn't seem to be wrong reading as the engine booming confirms it.
Strange. My Swift does 3150 rpm at 120 km/h in 5th gear.
^swift has a longer 5th gear ratio than most cars
Search forums. 1.5 is v high rpm car on all speeds. More higher than 1.3 city

Its v normal
mine 1.3 city same .......
Better consult a technician at Honda 3S
Maybe its clutch setting is not good Give it a try again and take a pic as evidance
Well i had Honda Civic 2005 Exi (1496cc) the rpm was at almost 3K on 120 km/h at motorway
That's because it was auto. The 4th gear on the auto is fairly tall.
Dear Brother mine Honda City 2012 Manual 1.3L for your reference
Uff that's too much If that's normal then how can Honda say most fuel efficient car in its class :o
Mine also stays on 4k RPM @ 120 KPH. As far as I have experienced, City is not at all an economic vehicle on Motorways...
at 3700 at 120km/h of my 1.3 manual
