    @ retrograde
first of all i tell u that steermatic is 1.5 and all these cars
    are 1.6..
but steermatic is Vtec and is not difficult to chase lancer, sunny and se..
and both of these cars are no vtec..
so steermatic 1.5 is much faster then 1.6..

@smatic: i know brother since i also own a steermatic and a founder of this thread

Reason for comparing with 1.6 auto is that i am sure coz of vtec and that steermatic is very light weight, it can take on these cars

    Salam to all.

fellows as u might know that my ride got flooded in recent rain in karachi.

posted a topic for the help on a separate thread here is the link

    https://www.pakwheels.com/forumreply_az_TopicID!113450~ForumID!10~msg!scmt~p w.html

fellows after few days of observing increased noise which comes when i start the car, noice slow down with the rpm going down and increase when i push the accelerator worries me so i took the car to Honda 3s dealer today in the morning to find out the cause. technician who initially looked at car told me that its nothing and happens in rainy season but when i insist hard to have a close look at the problem we found out that a A/C bearing which runs when we start the car is making noise, according to honda technician it happens because its not covered in such a way that it can resist water entering it, so it needed to be replaced, i have left my car at honda dealer will get it in 2nd half. will try to post the picture of the faulty part location.

take care all and kind regards

Adil bhai, really sad to read about what happened. Hope that AC bearing was the cause and things are sorted out now.

I remember that 2 years back I was stuck in rain water too near Sindh Assembly Building. Water level was uptill the H badge on the front grill. The horn stopped working for two days and that was all. And the licene plate was all twisted too.

    Take Care....

yesterday a previously damaged part was also replaced.

the plastic sheet underneath the engine that was damaged due to rain was previously put by the mechanic came out of its position as the corners was broken ( jugar did'nt work), also when it came out of its position it dragged the plastic sheet which is over the left tire with it, resulting in the damage of that sheet too so yesterday went to plaza to get these two parts. got the oem part of engine sheet for rupees 800 ( chinese sheet good quality) original was of 1500 rupees and original plastic sheet which is over the tire for also 800 rupees.

attaching the pictures of them too.

Nice to C Adil that your beauty is coming back to its original position.

Librakid Inshallaha you will never regret your decision regarding buying Steermatic my only advice is, try to buy steermatic which never inhail CNG caz it has lot of sensors & after installing CNG these sensors did not perform 100%

@ liberalkid, due to its rarity, there is no actual market for this vehicle where you can easily say that a 2006 with 20k on the clock will get ......

Before the budget people were asking around 11 but now since a 09 manual i-vtec is for 11.99, prices have dropped. Still what is the demand of the seller?

luckyman Nice to C that you go through the forum & now in love with steermatic

Moiz is rite regarding its price, it’s a rare commodity so price varies a lot from 8Lac to 11.5Lac depending on the condition.

Steermatic had a 1.5L VTEC engine with dual transmission & three driving option.

1- either you drive on fully automated CVT option
    2- 7 speed auto option
3- 7 speed manual transmission option.

This technology is very sophisticated and firstly introduced by Mercedes named “Trip tonic” but sadly wasn’t accepted by the buyers in Pakistan because they simply could not understand it and hence, this particular model of city was discontinued.

Steermatic also has a great sensing system which always gives you the max power when ever required for example if you are driving it on manual mode even than the gear will shift up around 6000rpm after giving max power & on decreasing the speed in manual mode it will bring down your gears automatically even if you don’t change them by pressing buttons on steering wheel this is just 1 example of this beauty & believe you in me the list is long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@accord7362, you are absolutely right. There are so many different modes of driving that you literally never get bored. CVT in traffic jams and manual on empty roads. I remember that it took me quite a while to understand all the different modes of driving when I got the car. And for our "average driver" this complexity simply blew the fuse of his/her senses.

accord: thanks bro, feels nice if I was able to assist someone. You know when i was going for this ride in dec 2006, i got the same so called "valuable" advises that dont go for that and this car is a flop and blah blah blah...... In fact i almost ended up buying an outclass SE Saloon automatic.

Anyway, glad i did'nt and steermatic has proven itself to be the best choice for me . Hope we get even more fans !!!!!

Normal Karachi city driving with 80% AC is 10.5 - 11 km/l on regualr gasoline. On high octane the average jumps to 12 - 12.5 km/l. It entirely depends on the fuel (i.e. regular or hi-octane) and your driving style.

The worst that i've gotten is 9.5 lm/l in dense traffic jams and the best on the highway is 16km/l.
