    Default Civic 8gen Hard Steering

Guys i have a little hard steering in my 8gen, little more force is required to move the steering as compared to other cars.

    few facts :
Power steering fluid changed twice - using OEM honda PS fluid
Power steering fluid level is not decreasing.
condition & color of fluid is still in original condition.

PS pump is not making any sound.

Tires are bridgestone 390B which used to come stock in 2008 model 33k kms life covered.

Now pls tell me what are the things which i need to get inspected, i dont want to goto honda because there only solution to this problem is PS pump replacement which i personally dont think is the issue.

would appreciate if you guys could highlight the settings in the PS rack or any other thing which is effecting the performance of PS.

AOA, brother, its steering is normally hard as compared to other cars.... but still if u doubt it,try some other 8thGen..rest experts will help you. but so far i have driven both sedans e.g. corolla and honda, honda is little stiffer than corolla. i think its for better control on high speed runs.

The steering of 8th Gen Civic is a bit hard compared to its other counterparts. I am sure there isn't anything wrong with your car's steering given the above mentioned details are true.

If your car's model is between 2006-2008, then there is a chance that the main power steering feed pipe is defected. But in that case, the fluid level should decrease and the steering should also make noise. If the level have not decreased and there isn't any leakage, and the pump has not been used without oil, you don't have to get it changed.

Honda gives free feed pipe replacement but they said dont change it unless it is defected which is not in my case so i didnt change it

@bilal you are absolutely correct turning wheels without PS is a nightmear, but still there is a concept of hard power steering and soft powersteering. so i am just trying to make my PS back to soft from hard.

@talha car is perfectly alligned no issue with the alignment.

Never heard of the bearing. Plus what has the shock to do with steering?

Is there any leak in around the PS Pump/Motor? Usually the oil do not drop on the road/floor when you park the car but you can see all over suspension.
