You should proceed in the following manner:

    1) First of all search for Honda's recommended specification of OIL for you particular model.

    2) After you know the above then start inquiring about suitable brands.

Honda recommends TOTAL engine oil, I recently got my Civic's engine oil changed at Honda Drive-In and they used TOTAL.

oil ranges are displayed in the hand book according to the temperature outside..
5w50 works in almost all conditions.. but for our country 10w30 is good for local cars... for jdm id say 5w30

if your car is less than 80K on odometer then go for synthetic

cheaper solution is Caltex Synthetic engine oil from a reputed caltex pump..

Mobil 1 5w50, equally good for extreme winters and summers, is no doubt the world leader in quality..a bit expensive but you can use it at least for 12000-15000 KM with a better air and oil filter..

if your odo is more than 1 Lack then go for semi synthetic or mineral oil
like caltex 10w30 in winters and caltex 20w50 (non CNG)in summers.. both are a cheap solution.. they last till 4500-5000 KM easily
