Default Honda Civic EXI 2005 Engine Oil Suggestion

    Dear All,

I hope you will be fine and doing well. I need your suggestions regarding Engine Oil. Currently I am using from past years HONDA Synthetic GENUINE ENGINE OIL 5w30. It is just okay. But not truly satisfied with it. As when I change my oil. The engine smoothness is increased, Which I like in car. But it gets lower by the time of 1000 KMS. Decreasing and decreasing by the time of Drain. Even I think it is getting Hard drive. So I change it after 2500 to 3000 KMS. I dnt even believe that it is synthetic. As Honda Company is has shifted there vendor from Caltex to TOTAL.

My mechanic has recommended me Liqui Moly. I am confused about it ratios which are available in Market. Please advice me the correct ratio formula for my car. I have driven my car 69000 KMS. Total Petrol. My daily travelling is only 10 to 15 Kms. Please guide me regarding this. If any other brand also tell me. I need your valueable suggestions.

Thanks & Waiting for your Kind replies.

    Regards,
    Muhammad Bilal Naeem

Which air Filter you use? I use guard one. As that is the vendor of Honda..

    Brother,
Plz don't mind, but if Mobil1 dealer has asked you to change after 5K, then I personally cannot believe on that oil.
Just for your reference, in the Slamat-pura area, there is a factory who produces the oil bottles. And would you believe that ZIC, Caltex, PSO, etc. are buying bottles from there. And maker will ask by himself to them that what origin they want to print/embossed on the bottle either its "Made in Korea", "Made in Singapore" or "Made in xyz".

In my previous post, I've mentioned to download the "Bar-code Scanner" in your iphone and scan the code of the bottle when your iphone and it will display the origin of the oil.

Here every oil distributor will say to change even fully synthetic oil after max. 5K because of weather conditions. But I can assure you that if I can buy mobil1 USA made oil, I will drive min. 10 ~ 12K within Pakistan and without any risk.
I am not scare from the stories of the oil shop owners and believe on my own studies, findings & experience.

There was nothing to mind about what u said sir, ur just trying to help fellow pakwheelers. as far as mobile 1 is concerned, i buy it from DM lubricants, they are official distributers of it in pak. And i personally know the owner of DM lubricants, he is a very nice humble guy and i trust him.

You are right too, no doubt about that.. People/companies are using local oil in imported bottles and stuff. But still i rely on mobil 1 or liqui moly more than i rely on zic. I dont knw why i think it is a very cheap oil, used it in our 1.3 2003 city and the perfromance went down the drain. So, even if mobil 1 is being repacked here in pak, i say its still beter than zic. Thats just my opinion.

I'll try and use performa next time hopefully.

Dear bro. I have mailed for my satisfaction and beleive to Mobil company yesterday. Today they replied about the product. They say we verify it that it is 100 % genuine and recommended to drain after 7000 kms in current situations of Pakistan. Your doubt is absulutely rite. But there are few ppl which sell original products...! So next time may be Performa. For the time being. I recommend Mobil,...!

Bro. Today i met with distibutor of caltex in lahore. N we talked very frankly. We concluded that Caltex havoline is a good oil. If it is original. But he told me that there is nothing to compare with Liqui Moly or Mobil 1. So this is the fact....!!

Frankly, i personally dont think we should flush Engine. It is just highly unnecessary unless your car is driven 200k or over.

    brother,
scroll down couple of threads within the same forum of oils and you will find a very long thread with subject BEST PETROL PUMPS IN LAHORE or similar name.
And as far as i remember, mostly people recommend

    Total garden town
PSO opposite UET gate no. 3
    shell model town.

    All the best.

Okay Bro. Someone told me and i think it is really imp. To discuss
That Pso Petrol has a handsome amount of Sulfer and sulfer is really bad for car. While when it is in car it feels that the fuel is good. Is that really matters?
