    Default D light blinking in Civic 2005 Prosmatic

    aoa all. i am having one issue. my car is civic 2005 vti prosmatic. facing this issue from last couple of days.
    When i drive in D mode, then after about 5 minutes D starts blinking. Also, car keeps on moving but response is bit slow. Gear oil is changed around 800kms back with Honda ATF. any idea what might be the issue?
    Also, car was driven in rain. i thought it might be due to that. kindly tell what might be the issue.

    @Xulfiqar kindly give your input.

    Have your car security system installed? Some times due to malfunction of security system its causes do D blink. Check it also?

    Also if D blinking, its means that there is some problem in your trans. Connect to scanner to ecu and scan for error code by scanning the transmission. Scanner will tell you error code and easy to identify the root cause of D blinking.

    Ask him to scan the transmission for DTC by hooking the scanner to ecu. From scanning it is easy to diagnose the problem.

    If u have driven the car in feet of water or if u think the underside has been submerged in recent rains than first step u should do is change ur transmission oil and have ur car checked by some good scanning tool.
