Me? Waiting for the engines lot. Called the engine guy yesterday and he said container is yet to be cleared, and hopefully within 2-4 days engines will be available.

So waiting for that. Not rushing. Will update here of the progress.

Thanks one last question what does white smoke with loss of engine power means when there is no decrease of coolant ? Radiator new, Tstat working, no leakages in rubber or m?tal pipes;, gasket intact and new and no overheating at all. Head new with proper valves & clearance.
Does it mean worn rings or pistons consuming engine oil ?

rings be the part needs replacement .... Compression goes down n power is lost ..... white/blue smoke

can you elaborate more on this option? Exactly what will be mine and what will be added?

u can use yr block n gear ....for vtec will need vtec head ..wiring and ecu ..PO8 will be good option if looking for further performance in future ...rest exhaust manifold will remain same ...intake will be replaced

If you want You can see Honda engines at this persons place in gharibabad person is Imran Mannan 0321-8221732, 0347-2000300. Have heard good things about him but he is quite expensive. Atleast you can get the price quote from him over phone or visit to check out the engine and take the price quote in person. He also swaps the engines.

I am facing problem with my civic 93. I replaced carburetor engine with EFI d15b and made alteration in the carby fuel tank for fixing fuel pump in it. However, as long as the fuel tank remains filled with petrol, the car runs smooth but as soon as the needle of fuel comes down to half tank, the car starts missing and sometime engine gets switched off. I have approached many of my friends and mechanics but of no use. A mechanic advised me to change the fuel pump which i did on the same very day and car went smooth for few months but now again i am facing the same problem. I went again to the same mechanic who is now telling me to change the carby fuel tank with EFI fuel tank. I went to Sultan da Kho Rawalpindi today and found EFI fuel tank for civic 93 worth Rs. 8K. I am even willing to buy that EFI fuel tank but afraid of if it won't solve my problem.
Can any expert would like to help/advice me in this regard.

Wait. Is gharibabad that area in laalo khet? There's a shop there with glass windows behind of which neat and shiny engines are stocked.

I visited that area first before going to shershah. The shops there didn't have dual vtec. One guy had one dual vtec, but condition was not good.

Nevertheless, will find out from that contact tomorrow.

That glass shop was on the main road. I went in the alley to a road inside where there were 3-4 more shops. Checked them all. This was on 25th March.

Ok i do remember a couple of half cuts there, including a pickup/suv half cut if im not wrong, but can't recall the mark x.

Lets see. I might go there on the way if i happen to visit shershah soon.

ok after searching around, here are the recommendations I found via Google. Credit to original posters.

• Use fuel system cleaner (which I assume is poured into the tank)
• Clean fuel filter
• probably a bad pump, the pump is cooled by the gasoline and when the fuel level gets too low it gets hot, and when the pump is going bad, it will usually show its signs when low on gas
• also check any rubber hoses for leaks (if there are any in the tank). Its possible that there is a crack in a pipe, and it starts sucking in air when not submerged in fuel, i.e., when fuel level drops.

when you swap efi engine .. you have change the fuel tank or issues you get is fuel cut off on corners and un even roads

now as you mentioned you have done some work ..try it running with low fuel on turns ..if its bogs down or goes dead means your alteration didt worked ..... but if its does not then we have some other issue

as far as the replacement .... 96 and 98 civic fuel tank fits bolt on to 95 civic ....

so buy that without letting them know as if you are in trouble otherwise they will charge you more

Alhamdolillah! Here are the initial pictures.

O2 and some sensor at the back was changed; oil cap changed, rusted exhaust manifold cover was provided (not sure if it can be painted or it should be cleaned with sandpaper); he also promised to provide the 2-1 exhaust pipe when collecting my engine (tomorrow or later).

I would appreciate if you guys can provide contacts of good electricians, who would be able to come over and do all the electric work. Should be reasonable.

Imran (the engine guy) also gave contact of some electrician Nadeem (north nazimabad), who does good work and charges around Rs. 5,000.
