Resale of all cars above 1.3 ltr is ****. In your case it depends on model year of the 8th gen. If its a 07/08 model, it would have depreciated enough already so you won't lose much when you sale. But in case of a later models like 11/12, they are still losing value. A good 2011 model was going for 17 to 19 lacs depending on condition of course, till the end of 2014, now it only manages to fetch 15 to 16. Manual reborn has worst resale and takes ages to sell.

On the other hand, Honda city probably has the best resale value among all cars no matter which model.

Thanks dear for detailed reply. Let me elaborate, i ve two options right now in hand. First is 2008 oriel prosmatic civic, 66k driven with service history. Bumper to bumper original paint n a new car, color is some what greyish. He is asking 1450k.

Second option is 2012 honda city, 27k driven with no service history. Charcoal grey colour. Scratch less original colour. Owner is saying that he will dispose off around 14.

So in both the cases which car has justified price tag. I ve no idea depending upon market.

    Please give ur valuable suggestion

Go for a 13-14 city, you'll easily get it for 14~14.5 in that price range. a friend sold his 13 aspire 1.5 in 14.7lacs a few weeks ago.

He is asking a lot for the Civic. In Lahore, average condition 2007/08 goes for 10/11 lacs. Good condition low mileage first owner car might even fetch 12-12.5 lacs.

Not sure about city, demand probably is alright for islamabad market. 14 lacs can get you at least 13 model with low mileage here in Lahore.
