    Default A question for Honda Civic owners only?

    HI
    guys i have a prob.i gota 99 vti.and its giving smoke.i asked some one he told me that i drive the car with out coolant.when i checked the coolant reservior there ws no coolant.but the car was not over heating.people say that when there is no coolant the car gives smoke.whitish.i checked the engine.i got one thing.one screw was missing.and i think the coolant escaped through that space.plz tell me is there any screw where i have pointed by the arrow.or its only a hole for gaeous exchange.

    According to the factory settings, your VTI temp gauge should stay in the exact middle.(thats how its supposed to be). If its crossing the half level mark then its something to worry about.
    Talking about smoke, if the air fuel mixture is incorrect, the car gives it Black smoke(pretty much like a diesel car). Bluish white smoke is bad news,in sense the car is burning oil and needs an overhaul.
    Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....

    Go for frequent oil change after every 2000 km u will see the difference
