I happened to get a civic exi 2001 model prosmatec(cng with advancer). Its a govt. vehicle so i dont really know how it has been used previously. what i want to know is, the car resists to gain speed as a civic does. Isnt the exi vtec? i dont feel any difference after 3k rpm(when vtec kicks in) in the acceleration. What is the reason behind this? it feels as if its powered by a mehran's engine..Not at all responsive on both petrol and cng
Civic Exi is without vtec.
Secondly, it's a 4 speed auto with CNG. No wonder it feels slow.
But it could also be due to a number of other things, like fuel filter, air filter, timing, throttle body. Better get the car checked from the dealership.
