Default """ Strange problem vid my Civic Reborn"""

    Hi all....
i was away for many months due to studies but i missed u all alot..... nd now im back to have sm fun vid you all....

neways I have a problem which is very common in vehicles bt i think that its strange in 2k8 civic nd the prob is thatWhen I start moving from stand still , the car vibrates as some cars do when they have clutch or pressure plate problem

We bought the car in July this year in exchange vid our previous Feb 2k8 Civic vid 18000 km but this new car came up vid this prob under 10000 km a month ago nd on petrol, but now we have installed CNG.......

besides there is one more problem nd that is i tried alot on the motor way to 200km/h but the car refused to go beyond 197 even vid AC off nd that time CNG was also not installed....

So plz suggest smthing n also those who have civic, share any problem if u eva encountered....

cant say anything abt ur problem...man u think 197 is less?there can b many factors.like tyres, ppl in the car, weight of cng cylinder etc etc.
was it stable nd easy to control @197?i mean were u confident enough that it wont get out of control?

Guys, in my humble opinion, since the car is still new, instead of guessing, it should be driven to nearest Honda for support (timely).
@ambushed_sniper: if you do so, please remember to apprise us all of the diagnosis/outcome.

bro i think u r having clutch prolem coz the fault in reborn is that its body is huge while its clutch is small so it gives this prob often...n ppl change it even after 5000 km...
and about the speed i went till 213 and after that i wasent able to get way coz of traffic on motor way and my rpm was still 5.7...so betta check out car from a honda outlet
    kashz...

Don't know what a reborn is, but if you're referring to the new Civic:

    a) Thats a flawed argument and NOT the reason why it shudders

    b) The actual reason it shudders is because of the way drive-by-wire delivers power. In the initial pickup you should not tap the accelerator gently, you should be "generous" with the press or it will shudder. The shudder is purely caused by DBWs lag.

    @all
theyr might be a limiter in the later models of the reborn shape.... but my '06 reborn (the first few cars sold)
can go upto 188+ easily only gone up till 201-205 yet(my goal was to cross 200kp/h).... but can do that..... so i dont believe that there is a limiter.... atleast on the aug'06 model....

^ yes, its very smooth and handles great at such high speeds.

I hit upto 180kph on my way back from college every weekend. Its fun thanks to the new Korangi - Ittehad bypass

Keep in mind my car is on low profile 17s

^ no that is not the case. stock tires are usually more stable as they have a thicker profile.

low profiles are not easy to handle at higher speeds as they send a LOT of road feedback to the steering wheel.

    Its not strange at all.

Have you driven a Civic with 15" rims? Then drive the same Civic with 17-18" rims.

    - The 15" will be much more comfortable.

    - The one with 17" will have better handling

    - The 15" "feels" more stable, yet is not actually more stable its just the low profile of the 17"s which makes you feel that way (little padding b/w rim and road)

well I kinda have the same problem. In morning, when it starts, I have encountered some vibration under the dash panel (near digital meter). It dissappears as if I turned it to Petrol.
    its only 18k drive!
