    dear shrm1....

FYI: Just right next to the Ecu, underneath the glove box, you have a socket, where you can take a wire and insert in two sockets, that will bring the car into diagnostic mode. Then the light will blink in several intervals. You can count and determine the code yourself too.

i also hear tht... but i dont know the actual place of the sockets... where would i insert the wire and in which socket... pls help me out.... but listen 1 thing.. tht there is no any light on the ecu...

Check Engine Light is there for a purpose and it is NOT just any "idiot light". A Honda Civic engine is a very sophisticated machine with a lot of sensors all controlled by a Computer. This set up is designed to provide reliability, efficiency, power and smooth running. I have seen Honda Civics in excess of 200,000 kms running like Brand new cars. It all comes down to how the vehicle is taken care off and how well it is maintained by qualified hands.

In my view all the replacements done by you to your car were totally unnecessary. I strongly reccomend the following

    1. Get all the replacements done by your mechanic thoroughly checked by a Honda 3S Dealer. I hope you still have all the original parts that you had replaced.

    2. The Honda Dealer can easily diagnose a Check Engine Problem through a Engine Code Reader that is hooked up to the Engine Computer of your Car. There is guesswork required when one is working on a Computer Controlled Engine as all the problems are stored in the car engine computer.

    3. If the Car Computer does not show any problem codes than the problem is 100% caused by a Malfunctioning component of th CNG Kit.

    4. Do not drive the car till the problem is rectified as you may cause damage to all the moving parts of your car such as axles, Transmission and the Engine itself.

    6. Have the original parts taken out of your car put back into the car if they are found to be working properly by the Honda Dealer

    5. ALways take you car to a PROPERLY equipped shop and your car dealer ( Honda 3s or Toyota dealer or a suzuki dealer etc) are the best caz they are actually accountable.

Assuming that fuel is SNG - The warning light glow... is a direct result of over heat sensor, weather 2000RPM or 1800 RPM , The CNG burns at higher temperature and produce high temperature coefficient, thereby the main head GASKET is bound to BURN out.

What is actual reading on the odometer, is it over 50,000 and half of it (25000) is on CNG i recommend get the head gasket inspected., and replaced.

Since summer is around the corner, also get the radiator cleaned at the time of head gaskit changing.

    It may likely the problem.

do a reset and then start your car up, drive for a km or two and then read out the codes.

If you have a code 21 - the single VTEC solenoid wire must be broken off - (the valve itself is very sturdy)

The IAT is in the air pipe going to the throttle valve for VTI or in the air box in an EXI, check its wiring connections and if the sensor is scratched.

code 14 can be caused by a jammed IAC motor you would need to clean and lube it.

I think you have major wiring harness issues usually caused by applying diesel on the engine after you have it pressure washed. the diesel fuel bakes the PVC wires hard with engine heat and then eventually the wires start breaking off from the base of the electrical connectors everywhere

Brother connect your car ECU with a good branded OBD-II scanner.

First determine whether its on CNG only or petrol also.
