well mine cng cyl is approaching its testing date this october I was hoping to get it to suzuki 3S coz they had displayed a banner therein, they charges 2500(as i remembr) now i knw why they charge that much thanks 4 sharing

too bloody right we all want to do it but the place is too far away .

I think there are many CNG pumps/workshops that gives you this service from HDIP, so you dont have to travel to them yourself. They will remove the cylinder, send it for test, and fit it again back if it survives the test.
Check them near your location!

I would like to appreciate your sense of responsibility as a good citizen and loving family man. You cared for the safety of your family and others as well.

This thread is very informative. I will email this link to our friends to educate them about this important safety procedure. Insha Allah very soon I will take our 2005 Baleno for the same test.

On the other hand I am extremely worried about switching of these public buses to CNG. One can estimate the seriousness of our transporters about safety just by watching the external condition of these buses. Ya Allah please save all of people inside (and outside as well) of these public commuters.

i dont think caltex gulshan do that i will go and enquire about it !!

This is not the Caltex petrol pump. Big Motors is Caltex operated workshop for installing CNG in cars, its in Block-5
Secondly, I think one of the CNG pumps at Gulberg also provide this facility to the customer against some charges.

hmm Talha, give me a couple of days, I will get back with the info.
I was told by someone that they are charging Rs.3000 for the same thing, what I don't remember is whether the HDIP people were picking up the cylinders themselves or they transport that to them... But there was some mutual setup with HDIP and some workshops for this.

^ khalid bhai i knw this because once i want to replace my cylinder, and i asked them, but the only option they gave me is to take my car to hdip myself, is lie m quite sure they dnt do that. i knw the guy there for quite some time, mane use bola bhi tha k yaar behjwado aur karwado, but us ne kaha k nai gari bhi jae gi number dekhe ge yeh wo topi drame

good - job, now I hope the so called cheapie transporters installing entire CNG batteries in their vehicles also do this.
