Assalam alaikum
I recently purchased Nissan AD 2007. Though it gives me very good mileage on petrol but still I want to install CNG on it. But there is a serious problem. I had inquired whether the CNG could be installed on Nissan AD or not and the answers were yes. Rather CNG performed very good on AD 2006 although these vehicles have drive-by-wire intake systems. But in 2007 model the intake system is even more sophisticated. Let me define the problem in a bit detail.
Usually CNG kits are installed in such a way that CNG pipe coming from the kit is fed to the intake system just before the throttle control. And it ends between the air filter and throttle control. When engine sucks the air, the lower pressure in the throttle causes the gas from kit to enter the intake system and so on.
In AD 2007, however, the air filter lies within the intake housing and hence the CNG pipe can not be fed between the air filter and throttle control. Which causes many of the CNG installation personals to say "cng can not be installed on it".
Now, There must be available some CNG kits which work in active fashion, i-e like petrol fuel injectors which don't need any low pressure requirements to suck the fuel. These type of CNG kits will surely work here in AD 2007 but I don't know where I can find these kits. Can anybody here guide my what I should do in such case and where I should look for these kits?
Also, one of the CNG installers I visited told me that Lambda Controlled CNG kit can work very good. Is it so?
I need you valuable suggestions.
