5 years completed for 55kg CNG cylinder and testing was over due since 20 July 2012. This morning I went to HDIP Korangi - Karachi centre at Pakistan Refinery Korangi Creek - right exit leading Opposite CBM Korangi campus gate,
Met a kind polite & very helpful person Mr. Sahib din Khowaja Senior Engineer In-charge. Told him quick facilities same day service at a centre in Korangi Industrial area and He explained the illegal test centres they get news about and handed me the current letter of Ogra attached below.
due to manpower & small parts required in-case of nipple / pipe crack items shortage they remove the cylinder FREE but do not reinstall it at the facility. The In-charge have discretionary powers to allow fitting but on case to case basis -as rule revision earlier in 2012 due to lack of manpower HDIP is not obliged to provide removal & Installation but a request and expression of gratitude to staff always help.
Cylinder removing & Testing Fee is Rs. 550.00 (Rupees five hundred fifty only).
