Geely's sub brand Shanghai Maple Automobile Co. Ltd (SMA) launched its first medium sedan, the 1.5L Haijing (also badged as Seawave) in November 2009..

Seawave is powered by 1.5L all aluminum alloy inline four-cylinder DOCH 16-valve CVVT engine having maximum engine power of 78 kilowatts (106 hp) and maximum torque of 135 n-m.

The interior comes with two-toned trim, four-spoke leather steering wheel, leather seats, adjustable steering wheel, CD + MP3, 4-channel six-speaker audio system, dual-mode anti-trap electric sunroof, automatic climate control, trip computer and many other intelligent configuration.

Standard safety equipments are ABS + EBD anti-lock braking systems, anti-glare rear-view mirror, safety explosion-proof fuel tanks, standard dual SRS airbags, seat belt pre-tensioners etc

Price range is from 63900RMB (approx 7.8lac PKR) for the base model to upto 101900RMB (approx 12.5lac PKR) for the luxury version.

my opinion: despite having a front-end similar to a C class Merc, in & out the overall car is too corolla-ish

price of the car remains same but rupee devaluation makes this car a bit expensive in straight conversion now. Base model 63900 rmb is now 8.14 lac PKR while luxury version of 101900 rmb is now 12.9 lac PKR. despite this the starting price 8.14 lac is still cheaper than the Cuore Ecomatic
