market repo of Chinese vehicles varies throughout the world. Some have a very good feedback, some struggles to gain some repute. But the improvement is quite rapid and appreciable. If you talk about the ones in our market, Geely CK and Chery QQ in particular, then i would say that like any other automobile brand here, the Chinese ones landed here are not equally good as in other parts of the world.
Take Geely CK for example, notice the images below.. the difference in the quality is quite visible; the gaps between panels, quality of paint and sheet metal, and off course the interior can easily be noticed from these pics.. thus the ones reaching European and Australian markets are much different than those coming to Pakistan. Also there are mixed user reviews about Geely CK in particular, some are very happy with their rides, other have suffered from various issues. In Cuba, Geely CK is serving as police cabs replacing Russian Ladas, so reputation is quite good there.

The progress particularly after 2007 is remarkable and several Chinese cars have obtained 4 star or better crash test score which also shows their improvement in vehicle safety area. Chery's Riich G5obtained its place in Nürburgring hall of fame which is another achievement for a Chinese vehicle, Greatwall Hover and Chery's Rely X5 participated in Dakar Rally and performed quite well too.
The repo of Chinese vehicles around the world is on the rise, but their famous brands doesn't represent the vast number of manufacturers which still produce some shabby products.. in coming years however, there will be a major improvement expected as they are trying hard to compete with established brands neck to neck.. I read somewhere on a blog that they have claimed to take over the global auto market by 2020. In Pakistan, "if" the dealerships can provide a guaranteed after sales support then they aren't a bad choice over the locally produced Suzukis in particular.
