F6 is BYD's B Class premium sedan available in 2.0 liter and 2.4 liter engine options. The 2.0 liter engine is BYD's own 483QB engine while the 2.4 liter is Mitsubishi's MIVEC 4G69 engine. Since its launch in China in 2007, BYD F6 draws mass attention for its luxurious interior feature, harmonious design of various fashion themes and advanced manufacturing technique make it lead the trend of Chinese B-segment sedan. BYD F6 was praised as the most popular new car by Chinese media in 2007, and crowned the most satisfying B-segment sedan in the fifth Chinese auto brand satisfaction survey in 2009. BYD F6 wins the best-selling B-segment sedan of Chinese auto brand and successfully enters top 10 China’s B-segment sedan in terms of car sales H1 this year in China.

Available transmission options are 5 speed MT, CVT and Tiptronic transmission for the 2.4 version. Features include ABS+EBD, 4 Wheel Disc brakes, Driver & Passenger Airbags, Energy Absorbing Steering Column & Brake Pedal, Door & Trunk unlock reminders, Retractable Power folding rear view mirror with Electric Defroster & Turn signals, Reversing sensors, Anti theft engine, Auto responding headlamps, Multi funtion Tilt adjustable steering wheel, lightness adjustable LED dashboard, Automatic shut off headlamps, Dual zone automatic A/c with Air Purifier, Anti-glare interior rear view mirror with 8-direction indication, Anti-skid leather seats, 6-8 direction power driver seat adjustments, Dual mode Power Sunroof, CD/ DVD player with USB/ Aux/ ipod connectivity etc. (features vary as per trim levels)

Price starts from 79,800 yuan (9.97 lac PKR) to 1,59,800 yuan (19.97 lac PKR).

Great china copy culture.
Chinese make copies because copyrights(patents) of other countries does not work in china.
The previous byd f3 was most successful seller sedan in china in 2009.

well here it is.

all i can see is 2.0 and 2.4 liter variants , so apparently ,
the option that imposes duty FIXED as per engine capacity cannot be applicable.
that option can only be availed up til 1800cc cars only.

for above 1800 cc.
duty structure is a bit different.

car is NEW , so no depreciation can be availed either.

so supposing the base model is a 2.0 liter @ 9.97 lacs...
the duty would be 112%

(customs duty (90%) + sales tax 16% + adv. income tax 5% + FED 1%)

so the cost of duties and taxes only accounts to 11 ,16,640

so the total price along with freight and everything would be.

997000 price
+
11 16640 duty
+
80000 freight
+
20000 customs clearing agent fee

22 , 13 640 as the total cost.

quite expensive for a chinese car indeed...
