Listen mates!
I am not that good at cars to be in a position to advise someone but if my meagre and feeble words could assist, I would like to suggest you to go for Corolla since your problem is the suspension. It seems as if your usual driving conditions are on bumpy roads and hence Corolla is the car for you. Actually I have had a Corolla 1995 GLi for almost five years now and I have been driving to areas like a few villages near Swat, Peshawar and Islamabad etc. Corollas, no doubt, suit Pakistani road conditions. So you should go for any given Japanese corolla. I personally do not like the new shape and hence recommend 1996-1998 Corolla GLi (2007-2008 Qouta). It comes fully loaded and is a pleasure to own.
But look at me, advising you for a Corolla and myself going to sell my Corolla to buy a Civic 2002-2003. But my reasons are different. I have had a Corolla for a long time and hence want to switch to Civic for having a new car. Besides, I do not intend to drive other than in Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar therefore suspension would not be a problem and hence I can enjoy the superior comfort.
In conclusion my dear, I have done some research and, no matter what people say, the truth is that Civic and Corolla are highly competitive cars. They both are more or less same in many aspects. So I have drawn a simple conclusion that is; If you are driving on bumpy roads and suspension is your main concern go for a Japanese Corolla however if that is not your problem than consider Civic becasue Civic has a better engine life. But then it all comes to how good you maintain your car. Happy Motoring brother...!!!
