    AC delco are lead calcium batteries and require 15.4V to fully charge - your alternator cuts off at 14.4V - the old lead antimony battery in your car was actually correct and is the right one to buy.

    It will be fully charged at 14.4V and give very long life. This AC delco one will not last more than 2 years.

    @ Xulfiqar ... Zulfiqar bhai, here AC Delco last longer than other batteries, most of the batteries from other brands lasts up to 1 Year ... and with me am using AC DELCO in both of my cars, last time in my Corolla I have changed it after 3 years and for Cressida after 2 years, why because its continuously parked for one month and haven't started her so recharged the battery and don't know what he have done with the battery that it drained after every 2 weeks...

    the best batteries for japanese and old european cars are the old lead antimony batteries. Most people here in the USA complain of the american batteries not lasting long in them (usually wrong style too).

    Using correct specification always lasts longer. Try to find a shop that sells new panasonic or Yuasa batteries which are shipped dry. Make the electrolyte yourself.

    This would be really hard to do nowadays in KSA but give it a shot.

    p.s. at the 1 year mark pop off the fill cap plate on your battery and test the SG - top up with distilled water as required, the heat in KSA takes its toll on the batteries.

    SLA batteries are best to get rid of hassle of repeated maintenance. Such batteries do not leak electrolyte so your engine parts won't corrode due to the over flown acid. Always buy a good quality one to get extended service life. Here, in Pakistan, the battery manufacturers are too dumb to make good quality SLA batteries. The maintenance free batteries which are available here are made from crap quality lead and does not last more than a few months. Total waste of money. Only flooded lead acid batteries work best here. :/

    warranty does not equal quality.

    quality = performance of item.

    battery performance = holds good charge, starts machine easily and lasts long.

    find an oldschool type lead antimony battery, if your market has american spec batteries then many brands which are made by Johnson Controls have them, (e.g. interstate, deka, exide, energizer etc)

    For japanese batteries like Yuasa or Panasonic - get a battery from a new toyota camry or similar. The american assembled cars of japanese brand have them.
