duddddddddeeee ... if you plan to use width of 215 thenn 65 is the height 65% of 215 ..I hope you know that ..your Corolla will be high amd it will look utterly ugly .. dont do that please

... Corolla's back is already high ..... you might want to reconsider the height ... do they make tyres in 215-65 ... that is just ridiculous profile for such vehicle ... ... usually it is 215-55 .. or 215-45 with bigger rims like 16" or 17" ... etc

bdw 215 is already very wide for Corolla's stock rim .. check the rim width first ...

205 is the widest you can go on a stock rim

Well, obviously I didnt know that. I always thought 15 is the height. I just want to reduce that gap as much as possible. I will stick to the stock rims or may change to 16 (chances are less) but I want the tyres to be a bit broad (offcourse they shouldnt look ugly). What tyre size would you recommend in 15? 205/??/15

In triptronic and others (like touchshift variants) the gear box is automatic; in multimode manual transmission the gear box is essentially manual with an electronic-clutch. Thus MMT cars, like the toyota, lack torque converter.

In the "E" (Electronic) mode or electronic clutch mode the car would automatically shift between the 4 available gears (as the PKDM employs a 4 speed gear box). If Eco switch is enabled it goes into Es mode

In "M" (Manual) mode which is achieved by moving gear lever to "M" and then pushing it to the right (in the figure above). Now pushing the stick forward (towards + sign) a higher gear would be selected, while pushing it back (towards minus sign) a lower gear is selected. Pushing the stick Left would again take the car into "E" mode

There are two major disadvantages to MMTs:

    1. There is noticable gear shift as there is no torque converter
    2. The car may roll back when going up a if appropriate power is not provided.

The main advantage of MMT is more control over gear selection

I assume both GLI and Altis have the MMT
Can anyone confirm that GLI AT has this MMT gear box?

I suggest you to use genuine tire size. Save Fuel and keep your steering light. Over size just looks good but make steering heavy and consume more Fuel. So 195/65 R15 is best.
For tire I suggest you only Continental the best choice. Use CEC make your drive and pocket comfortable.

Best alternates for new corolla stock size of 195/65 r15 wud b 205/55 r16 and 205/60 r16.. Corolla in other countries coming in these sizes.. They will enhance the look and height wud look reasonable as compared to stock size

I agree with you 205/55 R16 is good alternate. But in this case rim will change, which will increase bugget.
205 size tire price is very higher than 195size. I bought Continental 205/55 R16 CPC2 for C200 Rs.17500 and I check the price of tire for my new Corolla 195/65 R15 in Continental CEC1 IS Rs.10500

Easy solution. Sort out branded 16s or 17s from PW or Peshawar like Rays, Enkei or Work, BBS.etc and add them. If you're going for 16s, Get 205/55/16 with Good Michellin tyres. Or if you're going for 17s get 215/50/17. Baray rim dalnay sey kuch nahin hota. Been using Enkei 16s and Japanesse 17s with michellin tyres In both sizes mentioned above in 10th gen. Corolla. But the point is to get good soft tyres and pure branded wheels. I'm sure new corolla is tough enough car like its previous model and the bigger body will facilitate bigger wheels, Giving a charm to the looks.

205/60-15 .. the max you can stretch ! > only if you can find in that profile .. do notttt go beyond that at stock rim

See the following link , Input your stock profile and desired profile and see the error .. error in speed should NOT be more than 2%

    > AGCO Automotive Repair Service - Baton Rouge, LA - Tire Size Error Calculator

Yes .... changing stock profile also induces error in speedometer reading ... first read and then screw your multi million car

If budget is the issue and u want to stick to stock rims, then go for stock profile. 195/65 R15...

Dude, don't go for 215, you will only waste your money and spoil the looks. I am using 205-65/R15 with Lenso Alloys. 195s are too damn thin for this huge body. Plus the error is around 2%(Within the recommended range), while using this size.
