And how would you rate the quality of the tints from 3M? Scratches, color fade, anything? Also which car was it and what was the total cost for complete windows tint?

For free it will remove. I paid Rs.1000 for it and 3500 for trunk wraping.

I test drove the Altis yesterday. I also drove around the Civic a few days before to help me make a comparison between the two, and I'll say here that the Altis is a better drive. And the reason for that edge is the CVT transmission. The transmission in any car is a major contributor towards its driving pleasure and the CVT clearly beats out the normal automatic in Civic. The gear shifting is smooth, pedal response seamless, the driving was pure pleasure versus Civic.

You my friend really know what a car is but imo you'll get bashed by Gli Xli owners who deep inside know their car is underpowered and not worth their money except for exterior looks.

yes.. deep down I know that Gli is under powered.. true.. it is under powered by all standards.. agreed to the first part.. but the second part about value of car.. here I humbly disagree.. I think I paid for something that will give me good return if and whenever I sell -INSHALLAH

secondly.. the value of exterior.. for common people of our country these are same.. big car

the emotions of incomplete self.. unfulfilled desire.. material race and competition etc. never end no matter what one buys!

Allah gives you power and resources its upto you to use them and make best out of them. I don't think the best was made by buying an underpowered vehicle with only positive a bit of nice exterior. Allah gave us mind and power. Its the person himself who chooses either good or bad. Nevertheless its my opinion that you shouldve tried pushing a bit more and get base model altis which is million time better then massively overpriced xli gli.

Yes.. good advice.. I thought about Altis CVTi but the difference was 400,000 which I couldn't justify to myself... 1800cc engine... more power... Altis... I would have liked it.. but I didn't NEED it.

if the car has to be used by family and don't need an 1800cc because already have one I don't see any point in buying Altis.

You could have wait for 1.6 Altis or get base model altis. It has airbags and other features apart from 1800cc engine. Altis ki body main 15 saal purana chota 1300cc engine daal diya zalimon nai.

Unfortunately, these aftermarket central locking motors are cheap ones, and the mechanics used to make it work with different jugaars. They are going to work for sometime and suddenly one or two or all of ur doors will stop locking or unlocking and you will again have to get the motors adjusted. Try getting them from toyota if they offer in reasonable price. Quality always have price tags on the higher side.

U r a honda fan and that too 8th gen civic.. U wont buy gli/xli and not even grande but still u r following this thread.. Just to degrade xli/gli buyers.. U cant digest the fact that by spending little more than u ppl are getting a good attractive car and that too brand new as compared to 7 yrs second hand civic...
Now coming to underpowered.. I drive honda city 2010 manual to go to office.. Its very hard that my car touches 70-80 km due to traffic so even if i take my 9th gen civic ill drive it at same speed.. And btw a friend of mine had 10th gen gli manual and once while i was driving my previous civic that was ur favourite 8th gen on motorway at speed ranging from 140-160 he was comfortably chasing me with his gli...

Talk here about 11th gen which is heavier. Its not about chasing woh tou 1000cc vitz bhi karle gi aramse. I'm not trying to be biased nor I mentioned civic anywhere did I? Typical Toyota Xli fanboy you are proving to be while pushing in 8th gen here where I never mentioned it? Nevertheless, If I were to buy a new car I'll vote for Altis. And since we are replacing previous Altis sooner or later my vote will always go for the Grande rather then the new civic or new Gli. No matter what you say GLi/XLi with 2nzfe has crossed all the barriers of consumer exploitation aur bholi awam ka bhi koi haal nahin. But large number of grande sales are encouraging signs, I have seen Altis and Grande myself and the interior as well as exterior is descent but the specs are nice and give a better worth to money unlike lower trims. Its not about you driving a car at 70 to 80 but its about the car itself overall being very very overpriced.
